A better demo of the cutting capability of the amazing Sawvivor backpack saw. This is the most efficient way to cut logs up in the back country. Think calorie conservation. Tips on using your Sawvivor blade are covered here, such as using WD-40 to lubricate the blade. Another good backpack saw is the Sven Saw however it's heavier and not as compact.

  • He said the blade is 12-14 inches so I assume it's the 15" saw.

  • @adaman04 It is, he hasn't tried the 18" yet. -- Veri

  • hmm...

    you've driven for 3 days to a comping location in the middle of a huge forest, you leave the car and set up camp and an asteroid hits the car and destroys it!

    you have a radio which you use to attempt to call for help but aliens have destroyed most of civilization and you learn that the last humans on earth are living in china so you have to trek there.

    you need this saw to make firewood and stuff for your long journey.

    you need to trek to

  • I'm curious whether you use the 15 or 18" version?

    I am going to get one, but I'm not sure which one is the better choice. Any thoughts?

  • you had your prop on the wrong side of the cut, you want it on the opposite side of the drop, that way the blade will not bind and you will not have to pick it up like you did to get it drop when you cut through it.

  • just as a heads up it wont bind if u set the curf well and it just takes trial and error too much and it takes too long too little and it gets bound they almost always come with 0 curf

  • damn, nutn, what demographic am I in....I get Sotheby's commercials when I watch this video....

  • @chrishophoto

    15" = Backpacking saw

    18" = Car camping saw
