I had all this stuff laying around for ages, and i'd tried putting it together in different ways before and failed until now! This prooves you shouldnt throw all your stuff away so quickly ;-) The amp gets about 14.8v idle and the lowest drop ive seen is 11.3, and hopefully this will improve with the microwave transformer. My 8" subs sound a lot better!

  • Damn, that is some awesome voltage.

You should just get a voltage regular, you're not feeding enough power to it with that skinny wiring.

  • @ManRossDamn yeah over the last few days ive been looking at regs, but getting some that can handle 50A+ is realy hard! ive seen a few circuit diags so ill keep researchin ;)

  • @ManRossDamn Cheers for the comment - i did actually build the reg, works a dream ;) watch out for my next vid!

  • Nice PSU you made there! Does the cap even make a difference? (maybe a comparison vid?)

Be careful with the microwave when you take it apart, you don't want to lose a hand

    :-P

  • @bassl0va Good idea, i might do that, as i have the cap on a switch :)
