Although Resident Evil has changed throughout the years, I think one thing that will always stay the same is wonderful serenity soundtracks of the Safe Room. :D I hope Capcom brings back the Typewriter. I loved that sound it made: "chck, chck, chck, ch-chck,"
Operation Raccoon City will have a 4 player co-op for the story followed with separate online modes (such as Heroes mode, Survival mode, etc.). The split-screen option...I'm not entirely sure about that yet.
Also, if you have one of the older systems, such as the PS2, there is also Resident Evil Outbreak. It is pretty much a short Resident Evil game that doesn't really have a plot but more of survival. It contains short scenarios & I had fun with it. You should check em' out.
Maybe It's just a sign that I'm getting old, but I miss when Resident Evil cared more about being scary than producing action sequences. I miss when I didn't know what was around the corner, I miss the hilariously strange puzzles, I even miss the campy voice acting at this point since the story now is just...kinda there.
I don't know, it just feels so alien from what I remember of the series now. Last RE game I played was 5, and that had no surprises so sadly, I'll have to pass.
@mesesube Yeah, I kinda miss the fear aspect myself. Hopefully they can bring some of it back in this game. Who knows, maybe they'll make a game in the old format as an arcade game of something. Maybe have Rebecca or Billy, hell, maybe even Carlos in it. You know, just for the nostalgia.
@MrTehGERM lol. nah man i really appreciate the detailed comments. makes it a lot easier to know what kinda game id like. lol. but yeah then i think im gonna get RE Racoon City then if anything. Since its sooner and is more evolved online and stuff. 2 more questions tho regarding Racoon City... 1. Is it only coop or is there versus multiplayer?? and 2. u said something about a 4 player story option... u mean i can play with 3 other friends on split-screen through the campaign?
@downwitursyztem (Sorry I have like spammed 4 comments, haha). One more thing I would like to add-> Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City will be released on March 23, 2012. Resident Evil 6 will released until November. (or atleast that is what Capcom says) So there is a still months in between to be able to get both, I suppose.
Capcom took a different route in their game productions due to the decreasing amount of copies being sold. Games, like people, evolve. The same fixed-camera angle gameplay was starting to bore a bunch of people. Capcom wanted to start a new behind-the-shoulder so interest the gamer (inwhich it did). They also wanted to add suspense to the story by implementing an action sense into the game. Some people liked it, other's hated it. RE6 seems as if it will have a blend of both though.
YES RE6 IS COMING i am so happy right now.!!!
