hehe i'm from boston and a liberal...ye ye. my point is, i grew up on hank williams, elvis, cash, waylon, george jones, jim reeves, willie, and so many more. This music speaks to me on another level, but to make my point--I even love the clever and amusing lyrics of jay-z on, say, reasonable doubt, nas, krs, rakim, etc. The point is...it's not all about being--a red blooded rebel proud american. it's about being a human. about being someone that tries to keep an open mind and an open heart.

Amen to that. I'm from Georgia and was raised on classic country (I also enjoy other types of music as well) but country has a certain appeal that the other forms do not and that is that humanity to it. @MrSirSnoozealot Well, I am a dentist from Brazil. It could be funny, but I just listen to Hank, Jimmy Rodgers and the Carter Familly, Woody Guthrie, Gene Autry (a real cowboy) in my office all day long, while treating my patients ... they feel a little bit strange but they like do listen to (at least many of them). I m from Paris France. I m 43 yold. I grew up on Hank Williams, Jimmy Rodgers, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis, Ray Charles etc... I listening lot of music Classical, Jazz, Rock. Country. For me, Hank Williams is universal. This voice and this words touch my heart deeply. One of the best singer and composer of 20th century. I hope that people never forget this great talent.
