  • Why doesn't Crysis 2 look this nice? DX11 can go jump for all the resources it hogs and isn't even as impressive as this Island still is. Crytek have lost it.

  • @ArcanePath360 - totally agree - the problem with crysis 2 is simple. Money. This was a pc exclusive - meaning they could make a graphics engine hogging all the pc's power for the present pc's - and future pc's.

what did they do with crysis 2? simple. They chose the mass market - 360, ps3 and pc - and when i played crysis 2 - it felt like a ps3 / 360 port - rather than a game that had the genuine dedication to pc gamers...

DX11 on crysis 2 was WORTHLESS!!!

i still play this... and love it!!!

  • @dannyday58218195 Glad I'm not alone. I said when they first announced that it was going to be in NY that it'd be another "rent-a-shooter" like every other console game - looks like I was right. I played through Crysis twice, and might go back again soon after seeing this. Don't think I will play Crysis 2 through again. Consoles are destroying PC games.

  • @ArcanePath360 - its true - dunno if your in UK or not - but over here - consoles are winning the war so much that game shops dont even bother to stock pc games anymore! Game and Game Station where i live in the UK have a VERY small section for pc games, the rest dedicated to 360 and ps3 games - and they dont even have the latest pc games sometimes its a joke.

I didnt mind crysis 2 set in NY - it had potential - but ended up another generic boring whatever shooter.

  • @dannyday58218195 I am in UK and know the feeling. Tesco don't even know what PC games look like, and Game doesn't even stock some of the latest titles on their site, let alone their store, if you can even find a PC section it's normally rubbish games like Ma-Jong and learning stuff. I once went to buy Crysis Warhead as I remember it being sold for £6 one week but then it just disappeared from all shops everywhere.

  • @ArcanePath360 - its not exactly an end of the world thing - i get my pc games mostly from play.com - pretty cheap - but i personally hate how every pc game expects or presumes that yours gonna pirate it and you get landed with serial codes left right and centre let alone setting up accounts all over the place - and then your forced to install something like steam who, depending on how it feels - wont even let you play single player cuz its busy syncing some shit!

    ive got a ps3 myself....

  • @ArcanePath360 - ...and dont get me wrong games like killzone 3 deffinatley highlight its potential - but the rest are cheap thrills graphically - games like Duke Nukem are APPAULING graphically - and make me sick when i pay £40 fo a new console game to spend the whole time thinking "my pc would kick this games ass" - pc's are alot cheaper now so i dont understand why consoles are winning - so much more you can do with a pc than you can an xbox or ps3... so im confused tbh

  • lol very god! whats mod/texture pack?

  • @dannyday58218195 I have an X-Box also, but feel it's very dated now. It was impressive 6 years ago maybe, and I still like the style of controller and Forza etc. The reason PC games are loosing is because it's so easy to buy a console for £150, whereas with a PC I spent that on just the graphics card, and a lot of people can't be hassled with all the tech stuff, like knowing what will run Crysis in terms of memory, CPU core, how to install it etc.
