Amiga Shareware game Llamatron 2112 by Jeff Minter of Llamasoft 1991

Use the pause video button if you want to read all the intro text. Was more time efficiant to just let it scroll through.

This probably my most played Amiga game since it appeared on the Amiga computing coverdisk allthose years ago. A simple but great game. A500 512k or 1mb required to play and a patch is on aminet to fix the game to work with kickstart 2+ based amigas.

  • That opening scrawl/crawl/readme file (whatever it is) is just great!!! Listening to Shamen _ Move Any Mountain per Llamasoft's wishes as I watch this. :)

  • minter needs to 3d this up

  • I remember just playing this game for the SFX. Some of the boss levels were hilarious too. There were also a few easter-eggs to be entered in the high-scores list too. At least one was easy to find without trying too hard.

  • SEIZURE!

  • Was my favorite games

  • shoot that lama!

  • I got the iOS remake of this game for my iPod called Minotron 2112 - it's virtually the same as this version, but you control a minotaur (that's Minter's new favorite beast, apparently). You hear "EXCELLENT!" from Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure when you rescue the last Beastie, but my favorite sound effect is the "Wilhelm Scream" when you shoot these colored arrows!

  • Amazing! Can anybody remember what the sequel was called? It was a two-player side-scrolling affair.

  • is there anyway I can play this on my pc.....even online.......i used to play it on both my Atari and amiga.......still have the Atari in the attic but not the game......I need a Llamatron fix.

  • This game is mental. Never before or since has a game been so insane.

I recently played it for the first time in many years and recorded the result with my live audio commentary. It's on my channel if anyone is interested in my rather amateurish performance and hopefully entertaining comments.
