why do this complicated sticking? you could do the exact same fill with right left sticking??

@atila1994 Thanks for your question. To answer your statement pertaining to the alternate sticking: yes you could do that. But also consider this:
1. This video was illustrating the paradiddle-diddle; one of the 40 essential P.A.S. rudiments EVERY person who calls themselves a drummer should know.
2. A paradiddle-diddle is not a complicated sticking pattern. It is simply r l r r l l. This fill was the result of voicing/orchestrating the rudiment.

3. I guarantee you that if you try and do this drum fill with alternate sticking; you will not be able to play it at the speed I am doing it at.
4. Why not? Part of my goal as a drummer is challenging myself and the paradiddle-diddle is an easy and effective rudiment once you can play it from your muscle memory.
