Ok, first of all sorry for the sound but everything (beside Bass) is midi and i gave my best to make it sound as good as possible, but it is still midi ;) It's a song i wrote, doesn't have actually a ending but that is no problem. Vocals are missing, excuse me, but the vocals as midi suck much more then everything else :) This song is also a pretty good exercise for rhythm and endurance, played with Basslab L-Bow 6 string. Next videos will be some solo stuff i do in my bands and when heiko fixed the 9 string problems ( by the way thanks to Heiko Hoepfinger from Basslab for this great support) i will finish the moonlight sonata, 'cause i play it pretty difficult, maybe there is a easier way, but i use 5 fingers with my right hand and the thumb action is pretty high so i have to get used to that :)

  • Basslab says this bass is supposed to have a superior low B, but I couldn't help but notice it was the worst sounding string.

  • @rage1331

Hi. You're right, it sounds horrible on this video, but it was my editing, not the string itself. Live it sounds much better. But you are right, in this video the string sounds like crap :)

    cheers

  • Great sound! The BassLab are the best instruments ever!!

  • Thanks man ;) Yeah, the bass sounds pretty good, nice singing fretless sound :)

Thanks a lot, next video will be something with a ritter. If anybody wants a review of my basses or the experience i had with the instruments or luthier, just ask ;)

  • U CANT APRECIATE too much the bass in some parts, but still a good line, anyway, congrats, it is a gorgeous bass, and ur a very good bass player. 5 stars ;).

  • Thanks a lot. Well, within all the solo stuff i prepare, i always try to ( still be ) a bassist ;) You're right, sound was a little strange......i just arrived from basslab with this bass and recorded this directly, it was a first take....i was more like " wow, first take *lol*" and posted it, next time i will figure out the sound before doing that :)critics in sound and style always helps me doing things better, so thanks again :)

  • 2 Things.. Do you tune this monster by ear or use harmonics?

If you use harmonics.. how do you find them lol.. no frets = BLEARGH for me..

  • Style. You possess it.

  • what a finish...

  • Sounds like something straight from an old SNES game or something. Gives a nice 8-bit feel to it lol

  • I know i'm way late to ask but How much did that bass cost?

  • Well, I can say that judjing by this vis the low B sounds not too good without other instruments (too loud and there's too much ring to it), but together with other parts it sounds awesome! you can hear it clear and powerful, so I guess it's just an instrument for bands, not solo bassists. Though I might be wrong 'cause I haven't heard it live, just in this vid

  • @RedInfoPoint jap der sieht geil aus das is mein Bass lehrer

und der hat sau viele geile Bässe

  • @Thunderthumb Awesome video by the way. Every other string sounds fantastic. How much did that thing run you? I heard they are $4000 - $6000.
