at the 1st Shaolin Wushu Festival 1991 in Zhengzhou / China. They told me that he was 3 years old at this time, but as the chinese years counting is a bit different from ours I guess he could have been 4. He showed the 38 routine created by his Father.

  • wow his jing looks quite powerfull. This was in 91? Whats he doing now?

  • If count in Chinese age 3 at film time. He should be "TWO" the real age at that time. Because chinese count the time in mom's tummy as the very first year.

The lady announcer said that he started practice at age two and half. So, that's mean in half year he learned Quan(boxing), Jian(sward) and Push Hand(the exercise need two people to practice together). What a memory for this age! So lucky to have a wonderful father as a beginning teacher(啟蒙老師)

Oh!I wish that I can watch his push hand too.

  • If he's kept it up, his body would have developed into the taiji way. Old-school gungfu was to teach children horse stance so their bodies would grow into the correct design for gungfu. Cool!

  • I've never seen much value in teaching taiji before the age of 16, and this video reinforces that I think

  • He could be my teacher !

  • he looks great for 91

  • @dance2advance he is still training! i will see his elder brother in about 7 weeks time and he is scary!

  • That's pretty amazing.

At time of writing, my Daughter is 1 y/o and as soon as she's better at walking ... the training starts!

  • Whoa, amazing -and a little scary! Seems I'm way late teaching my kids though, better get started right away!
