Its a camera mounted on a boom in order to film the rider from the front when tucking.

your right ridiculously high lift tickets are digusting, but if your gonna go that far well then just hitch a ride up on a snowmobile hit the right mountain and there are plenty of guys to take you up. also yes the speed on a snowboard is amazing going 60mph on a snowboard is nothing. but hey if some ppl enjoy this thats cool I just found it weird that you can get a thrill out of it.
