I bought one of these collars (2006 puplife dog safety product of the year)off a website in Australia and found this video of Taz the Australian Shepherd showing how they work Hes one gorgeous, smart dog. Love how he stays still looking at his owner. You can see him thinking "can I go now"? On the site it says he fetches beer from the fridge and shuts the door behind him when he does. I want one, lmao.

  • My friends jack russell died when she jumped up at the garden gate and her collar got caught on the latch. Had she been wearing this collar, she might have survived. Congratulations.

  • tell your friend to check out the tazlab collars, I bought mine online after seeing them online in the US.

  • exactly, thats what the collars are for...we have 2 playful Golden retrievers.

Dogs that play like they do often get a jaw stuck in the others collar, some dogs have been choked to death from being caught up like that and the other dog could have broken their jaw... now ours are safe.

  • So your dog can get loose anytime you tie it up! Not a good product in my opinion.

  • No it cant, that would be stupid! the collar has two loops either side of the elastic section, when you put a leash on the collar it goes through both loops so the dog cant get free, when u dont have a leash on the dog can get caught up without choking to death. If it was a bad product it wouldnt have won an award as the Dog safety product of the year 2006.

  • scalp 340, the collar doesnt just fall off when a dog gets caught. It takes a lot of effort to get the head out.

If your dog gets caught on something to the point where she pulls her head out of the Tazlab collar the chances are that with a normal collar she would have broken her neck or choked herself to death.

These collars are brilliantly engineered by professional design engineers not just thrown together because someone thought it was a kool idea.

  • What a terrible attitude to owning a dog, terrible.

Shes prone to wander off so I wont fix the problem, I'll put my phone number on a tag and leave it up to someone else to rescue her and bring her home. Lets hope the next person who finds her is more caring, ignores your tag and keeps her as their pet in a safe and secure home. Terrible attitude.

  • Are you for real? I bet you blame Bill Gates for you being broke because he has your share of the money as well. Good pet owners have their house and yard secure so that their dog that is prone to wander off, cant wander off. Are you one of those irresponsible people that is never to blame? My dog went missing coz shes prone to wander off, lmao, what if she gets hit by the first car she comes across, what good is your tag then? Be a responible dog owner and make it so she cant wander off..

  • Oh i forgot microchips stop dogs from getting hit by a car on a main highway/route, Because almost everyone has a microchip scanner. where as my tag (with my phone #) will prompt the first person she comes in contact with before she makes it to the main route. Oh you have my dog? i live right down the street. where as.....3 days later. you you found my dog. she got hit by a car 3 days ago, and is dead? Great!

  • Thats why my dogs are microchipped.

    What a terrible owner,

what if your dog gets tangled up and dies a painful death?

    terrible

  • Terrible. I have a husky. she is prone to getting tangled up and/or wondering off. I have a tag on her so if somebody finds her, they can return her or call me. what if she gets tangled, breaks free from the collar, then wonders off. i'll never see her again. terrible.

  • Clever invention!!! Thank you.Found your video in A-Z share from issy.Hugs..Jan and Susan.x

  • Great idea. There are many perils out there for our animal friends. Thanks happysingerinoz. (Great username too btw) Thanks Issy to for sending.
