This is a very quick excerpt from a concert I edited featuring Cleo Laine. Her husband John Dankworth is leading his orchestra behind her and their son is on bass. This was made for the BBC by Landseer Productions in London.

  • @toewhite - I have the "Facade" Album. It's quite remarkable, as is her recording of Pierrot Lunaire.

  • She still sounds GREAT and looks as BEAUTIFUL as ever!

  • Ah, Dame Cleo!! In a perfect world all singers would sound so good! And, this tune is one of the more clever she's done. It's called "Turkish Delight," and is, of course, based on the Mozart "Rondo a la Turca." On the full length version, she and John trade improvosations and she sings WAY up into her super-high register!

  • anyone have Cleo with Annie Ross?! Would LOVE to see that! Heard she recorded Walton's Facade with her.

  • She still has a great voice
