"Save Your Heart for Me" is the title of a popular song from 1965 by American pop group Gary Lewis and the Playboys. The song was written by Gary Geld and Peter Udell and appears on the group's 1965 album A Session with Gary Lewis and the Playboys.
The song peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart the week of August 21, 1965. It was kept from the top of the Hot 100 by Sonny and Cher's hit, "I Got You Babe".
Lewis, son of the comedian Jerry Lewis, credited the success of the record to both producer Snuff Garrett and to the short length of the song. Since it was less than two minutes duration, Lewis has stated that the song " was played everywhere. Deejays loved it."
