Placi Mingo (Where are the Do's, eh?) sounds like an amateur as compared to Maestro Araiza. No wonder Mingo undermined him when both of them were at the Met in the early stages of their career. Mingo is a product of aggressive marketing. Maestro Araiza is a genuine artist.

@piasecznik I disagree. While Araiza continues delivering excellent performances (2010 a series of Fidelio), Domingo didn't survive. In the Opera World Domingo is vocally a zombie! His experiments as Baritone just underlined it.

Araiza sung Wagner recently...and very well....

I don't think anyone would ever get the idea of claiming that Domingo is superior to Araiza in... Mozart. The little Mozart he has produced was atrocious. In other repertoire, I disagree. Araiza for example didn't survive singing Wagner, Domingo did.
