We ran Buck Larson: Born To Be A Star, at our drive-in theatre this weekend , & this song was on the opening credits! .. I used to watch Roger pretty often on the Lloyd Thaxton show after school, back in the 60's.
It's like Roger Miller is the forgotten country star. I never hear his stuff on the classic country stations except maybe "King Of The Road" once in a while. Loved this song and all of his music as a kid and I'm so glad it's available on youtube.
Ahhhh, memories.

Epic song! I need to listen to Roger Miller every once in a while to put a smile on my face in this dull and saddened world.
