I will help sustain the positive aspects of our lives, but not if it means taking the future away from others.

  • Our country is without an army and I'm very proud of that. I totally agree Onision: I won't point a gun at anyone at order.

  • When it comes to doing something or killing yourself, that's not really having control. it's like being given two options to choose from. That's a box that's you've been forced into. You have no options other than what's been pushed on you. control is when you can do whatever you want without blatant limits. I'm sure you would like to not kill someone else & not kill yourself, yes? with the options given, you cannot do that. Not control

  • god damn your soo sexy in this video!!!

  • @TristanTheSaint

"history is written by the victor."

This has one me many an argument :)

  • If the govt. hadn't abused the draft with Vietnam, people might have a more positive view of the process. WWI and WWII were concrete, solid, actual countries that we were at war with, unlike in Vietnam where it was ideologies against one another. Japan actually attacked us as a nation in 1941 and so as a nation we went to fight.

  • the military lies in order to murder people for corporate profit

  • @nadskofhqwak Their religion will die too, without somebody, somewhere, saying "nobody will hurt you as long as I am here to stop them". Drafts are like vaccines. If one person refuses, it endangers the group. Essentially, they are helping the enemy to kill as well, because that mentality is bad for overall morale, and wastes valuable resources on non-contributors.

  • @RogerwilcoFoxtrot its mostly for people of religion. Just try to look at it through their eyes: Die and go to heaven, or save your life, die later, and then go to hell for eternity. If I were religious, I'd pick the first one.

  • It's not "I got drafted, I'm a slave now, wha wha" it's, "Hey, we're all in this shit together. We don't have enough troops; so we're leveling the playing field - every man is equal to every other man, we all have the same risk of death in battle, we all have an equal opportunity to protect what we care about, our families, our friends, our ideals for freedom and democracy... we all have the chance to make a difference".

  • @nadskofhqwak LOL that's crap. "I'm just a truck driver, I'm a non-combatant" fuck that. Every soldier is an infantryman first, the whole fucking point is to destroy their army and their capacity to fight. Armies often do so by attacking the rear ares, which are less heavily defended. This means those "non-combatants" are juicy targets. Do you want freedom and democracy to die because you did nothing, or do you want to fight back when your life is threatened?

  • If we get drafted - that means it's a serious war. It's not about you; it's about the country, and no you don't always have control. War is not about the self, it's about the failure of humanity to resolve differences in more logical ways - and one side disarming itself solves nothing. It only makes the more moralistic side die faster.
