the earth does tilt 23.5 degrees, but it's not about the southern hemisphere being closer, just the fact that the area is more exposed to the sun light. The light basically passes over the northern hemisphere when it tilts that way, which is why it doesn't receive as large a concentration of sun ''light''.

Hey, I'm from America and I've been living in Poland for 2 years now and I'm considering going to South Africa for college/university. Is SA as bad as ppl say it is (like in this vid)? Is that a good idea? Should I just go to the U.K. to study??? Please message me about some things I should know, because the continent of Africa is exotic and really foreign to me. (meaning idk jack shit about it)

I visited a huge township called Khayelitsha. It was a shanty town with hundreds of thousands of people living below the poverty line in South Africa. Crime was a major issue.
