Don't Panic is a music video that is made up of material filmed for a short film festival in 2008. Although the festival was cancelled, the shots were recycled. The song "Say it ain't so" by weezer is used to carry the plot represented in a non-linear style.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The entire script was written in an MSN conversation between Richard and Shaun while brainstorming ways to make a cool video for the Insomnia Film Festival in 2008. The original inspiration came from the joking idea that Richard and Shaun get high and write a script while smoking Salvia, a legal hallucinogen known for causing psychedelic experiences. In describing the hypothetical outcome of this, Don't Panic's plot was born but only in the form of random scenes and possible camera angles. A year later the material was shot in Moncton in the summer of 2009. Editing was postponed due to school and in the summer of 2010 the project was re-opened and completed with a new flavour in mind for the feel of the short.
