The Plainedge High School Jazz Choir performing their rendition of the RX Bandits song "Nugget" at the Plainedge High School POPS Concert on February 13th, 2008. Recorded by Kate... who is awesome.
Wow. Chill. It's a fucking high school choir trying to have some fun. Who are you to pass judgment on these kids? ... "Oh, I know RX Bandits!!!" ....Really dude? Who the fuck do you think you are? Clearly you don't know shit about RX Bandits. If anything I would think the guys would be honored to see kids taking the time to learn and perform a piece of music in their name. Why don't you stop the fucking hating and go back to your burger flipping nine-to-fives? Fucking losers.
Actually the concept is totally sweet. It lacked passion clear and simple! Obviously you fighting it the entire way showed in your final performance, bravo to you asshole, no one is too good for the rx bandits!!! smile though i aint mad at you for real!
I understand the effort, but knowing yall sounded like that how could you go on? The song wasn't really created to be arranged by a SATB choir with a stale staccato rendition, very flat too. I don't mean to be judgemental, I give credit for the arrangement and the effort. It just... missed the mark. Completely. Way off. Sorry guys. Not your fault.
As a member of the bass section of this choir, I'd just like to say that although the idea was great, and the heart was there, I never actually liked the idea of doing this song. I feel like it is not well suited at all for a "jazz" choir, and I fought it every step of the way. I think our performance here was really...ehhh.
Whatever though, there really isn't a need to get mad over the internet, is there? So we covered a song and it didn't come out great. Big deal! Go rage somewhere else.
Not bad, it's hard to take a song like that and make it into a full choir song and it definitely wasn't as horrible as some people say.
Next time you should try the Untitled first track off of the first album :P
