John Cena vs The Rock: Round 1

Some things to think about while watching this video. The Rock comes back at the very end of Monday Night Raw and speaks for over 20 minutes about being gone, the state of the WWE and it's superstars, and about Wrestlemania. During that 20+ minutes he spreads his act around, telling Micheal Cole he'll shove the laptop set up for the GM's emails straight up his candy ass, telling The Miz he absolutely sucks, etc. And for 2 minutes, he talks trash about John Cena. There is not one sound from the commentators during this time. The next week John Cena comes out, and the entire time he's speaking the commentators are sniggering like 10 year-olds at Cena's rap. Watch the clips shown of the crowd while each is speaking too, they also are very different. And most importantly, note that John Cena is rapping for 3 minutes, half again as long as The Rock spent talking about Cena.

Round 1 Definately goes to John Cena, how could it not? They both said exactly what I've been thinking all along. But Cena got half again as much time to say it in, and trash talked The Rock's movies (though not The Rock's ability in the ring, nor his act, in fact he parodied The Rocks act in his rap).

Next week 2-28-11, The Rock should be back on TV to address what The Miz and Cena had to say. I don't expect The Rock will be pulling his punches this time. And NO BODY is better in direct mic vs mic confrontation than The Rock. So if we see Rock and Cena talk smack to each other directly, expect The Rock to win the crowd over to such a degree Cena is forced into heel status, just like The Rock was the first time he faced Hogan in the ring at Wrestlemania.

rock iz going to lose against cena thats obvious, there not going to push sum1 who isnt even going to stay. The Rock as good as he iz, iz a SELL OUT he left in his prime to be an actor and in my opinion hasn't had great movie yet, The main event at wrestlemania 28 for all the real wrestling fans who watch it for the WRESTLING shouldve been Randy orton vs John cena to me these are the two best wrestlers today

@sithlordzer0 I can respect that opinion, and I agree with the outcome of their match in just a few weeks. I'm still betting on a Cena heel turn, but we'll see. I'm not as confident in that prediction as I was after Kane returned.

However IMO the best WRESTLERS of the up and coming crew are Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes. CM Punk is great too, but he's already at the top. I can not wait to see Ziggler legitimately earn his spot with the fans as a main-eventer.
