CellTracker is an image processing program to perform automated and manual cell migration detection. The main goals of the software are: * automated image quality enhancement using background subtraction and alignment correction; * automated detection and tracking of cells; * manual tracking and editing cell paths;

The major challenge what we addressed is to perform the above goals on phase contrast images. Nevertheless, the proposed program works on fluorescent images as well.
The program is written in MatLab with a graphical user interface, requires the Image Processing Toolbox and MatLab 2007 or newer version. The output is stored in human readable table file (.csv) and contains the coordinates and time information of the identified cells. Furthermore, it is possible to create a movie from the tracked cells and visualize their migration over time in 3D graphs (x, y, time).
