@davidcole100 You're a buffoon. The big bad government you loathe built those aqueducts. that would be a desert otherwise.
-
@qltyman the entire existence of the aquifers was and is the government. therefore, the farmers quite obviously benefit from that infrastructure. You're right, that less of a subsidy and more of a handout.
-
@resteep The ignorance of your statement is unfathomable. Central valley farmers mostly grow crops that carry NO SUBSIDIES. That's why NAFTA killed the small farmer. CA Aqueduct water is reserved for 160 acre, family owned farms that depend on the free market for profit not your tax dollars. Please wise up or shut up.
-
@resteep : If we were to implement small family permaculture farms that used water-wise techniques, we could solve much of this problem. It's true, it's agribusiness that is being subsidized.

209 area code..affected by this,,,Apricot capital of the world sure isnt Patterson anymore..and sure never will be if we have no water.

This video is total BS. Save the Salmon!

Hell with the minows,Turn the water pump's back on! Let the Government grow a dam worm farm to replace the Delta Smelt. If you think about it's all about politician and money and they worry about the chemical run off in the water.

keep voting in these federalist so they can ignore the constitution and start voting in only people who truely will follow the constitution. this is an issue for the people of the state. the governor needs to stand up and turn the damn water on. period

Isn't liberalism great!! When will people wake up and realize they have been dooped into voting for their own destruction by these leftists they themselves elected to congress who in tern legislate their own demise. Then people want to gripe when they shut off the water to save a fish? You get what you voted for in California. Liberalism is a mental disorder. Vote Constitutionalists and LIbertarians and there will be real "change" we can SEE not just believe in .
These so-called "farmers" (Re: Big agribusiness) make their profits off of Government subsidies and Government supplied water through government-supplied irrigation ditches.
The sense of entitlement these welfare frauds feel is disgusting. Make them actually work for a living instead of profiting off of tax-payer funded infrastructure and subsidies.

The powers that be, Council on Foreign Relations, Bilderberg Group, and Trilateral Commission are orchestrating financial hardships for all of us, and a food shortage. Control the money and the food, and you control the people. Watch THE OBAMA DECEPTION.
