One final video for Blood and then that's me done with it! That is until one day, I get off my lazy arse and actually play through the sequel!

Remember when I said when I recorded my original Blood playthrough and the cutscenes refused to record? Well, the same thing happened when I recorded Cryptic Passage. Alright, so there's only one 'cutscene.' I say it like that since it's not really a cutscene. It's just two text screens lumped together to form an epilogue of sorts and then the Cryptic Passage credits follow soon after. Naturally, I went back to it (like with Blood) and managed to get the damn thing to record second time around.

So, Caleb's journey in the realm of the first Blood is at an end and he'll now spend the next hundred years in solitude. That is until the new futuristic and modernized Cabal are on his case once more!

I always found it funny that after the Sunstorm Interactive credits have finished rolling, there's a not-so-very subliminal message at the end suggesting you should go out and buy Duke it out in D.C.

Well, nuts to you. I've already got it! And it's not because I saw your advert.

Scout's honour!

  • Is this an official add-on? if yes or no, did the people who made this add-on also make duke it out in dc .

  • @cyborgdata Yep, Cryptic Passage was made by the same blokes who made Duke it out in D.C. If you buy the One Unit Whole Blood collection over on GOG, this expansion comes with it as well as the Plasma Pak.

  • Up next - shadow warrior!

  • @Gorefreak1991 I hear your enthusiasm, I really do! But there's one tiny little bonus video for another playthrough I want to get out of the way first before the adventures of Lo Wang begin.

Cast your mind back to a previous playthrough where I was unable to find the lone Secret on a certain level. The music drove me mad, the enemies were pug-fugly to look at and the level design was less than stellar.

Rolf Harris: "Can you guess what it is yet?!"

  • @galleyuk Nuclear Winter?!?!?!? If you really went back and played that game for one secret you must be either a perfectionist or you like hurting yourself!

  • @ThizBoi Correct sport!

Someone left a comment informing me of its location and lo and behold, there was an actual Secret in the Christmas Village level that could be found! Yeah, I can be a perfectionist but in this instance, I guess I wanted to punish myself a bit more.

    Thankfully, my return is brief.

  • @Votapardo It certainly doesn't reach the heady heights of its predecessor but it's an OK game nonetheless. I don't hate it nor am I overly fond of it. It sits somewhere in the middle for me.

Is 'congrats' internet talk for money? Nudge nudge, wink wink!

  • Blood II... I still don't know if Iiked that game.

I any case, add a million thanks and a billion congrats to your bank account!
