  • The end result looks cheap and ghetto. Aside from that it's too much work considering you can get a nice Black DVD drive for $20.00 that will actually match nicely with your black case. Considering all the time it takes to do this (Time=MONEY) It will cost you more to do this than actually buying a black one, just saying...

  • @wicked4u2c, sure, but the guide works for all plastic surfaces, all because you don't need it, doesn't mean others don't ask for these guides... Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Disc drives are dirt cheap and most of them are already black really dont see the point in this unless your case isnt black.

  • @SpiderPg92, sure, but the guide works for all plastic surfaces, and a lot of people like modding the older cases for fun, Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • New drives are under $20 retail - just replace it with black if it's that big of a deal. A few even come with multiple faceplates - beige, white, black silver.

  • Sounds like a good application for Di-NOC Film...

  • all the haters, dont you realise you can paint your drives in blue, red or green as well? do those come for 20$ in the market? i dont think so.

if you dont know how to appreciate someones hard work, dont ruin it.

And try going outside, maybe you will get a little inspiration and get more creative.

  • Wow. So instead of painting my case beige I could have just done the dvd drive :O. *Palms face*

  • Beige cases reminds me of a time when computers had turbo buttons.

  • loser

  • If I would, I'd paint all my new drives beige. Black is just too depressing of a color, but beige is peaceful and calm looking --- And it makes your full tower cases look bigger! ;-)

If you think beige computers look ugly and boring, then black painted ones are worse!

  • I have done that a few times and when I build my Mountaindew case I also panted the drives to match the case it would have been wired to have a green MD case that had a black white bage or anyother collor drive in it.

  • @wicked4u2c thats y its called a MOD ... retard !

  • looool mine came with a black part ... so i changed it :P

  • @MonsterMawd The best way to sum this up: "Its better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it." :D Thanks for the vid dude, way past cool, love the show!
