If your vote goes to Obama then it mind as well go to McCain. We,by ALL means,must stop voting for republicans and democrats. so what if the democrats lose,if anything the society will get worse which will hopefully waken people to take action. real action outside of voting. A major crisis will awaken all,its up to us conscious people to be there for those awaken to make the right choices.

For instance, suppose i'd like to vote for Nader, but i'm afraid that if Nader doesn't win, my vote, which would have otherwise gone to Obamah, will have been lost. Then i could mark Nader as my first priority candidate, and Obamah my second priority candidate. Then, if Nader loses, my vote transfers automatically to Obama.

People should be able to mark two candidates on the ballot ticket, in order of priority. If their first choice doesn't win, than their votes are transferred automatically to the second priority candidate. It should be allowed to mark the same candidate for both priorities.
