  • Your going to hurt back doing dead lifts like that. Make sure your back is perpendicular to the ground and lift with your legs. Don't use your back.

  • Actually, while the structure is less than ideal, it is sound, as the back is tightly arched or a least flat throughout. I am working on getting lower, thanks.

  • Your back doesn't need to be perpendicular to the ground -- in fact, that requires you to swing the weight away from you to get it around your knees, which is not very ideal. However, the back does need to remain arched and not allowed to round out. A couple people in the video look like they're in danger of rounding out too much.
