It's all in the connection. The giveaway that Bryan and Karen do a better jive than Bryan an dCarmen is the fact that Bryan and Karen danced most of their jibe in a connected hold which is very difficult given the tempo of jive is 44 bpm, compare a jive with Carmen and you will note that nearely all of their jive choreography is sperated or side by side, essentially Bryan dancing by himself , if you then flick your eyes to Carmen you see she is not doing much.

Karen has ten times more personality than Carmen. She is as much a stage dancer as a ballroom dancer - she is the only one in history who combines both styles.

I love this dance Karen is a person who would make a great role model to girls everywhere, she looks like she is having so much fun and she is a pleasure to watch. I personally prefer Karen to Carmen but how can you compare two dancers unless they have competed against each other.
