What the hell is that dude doing to the anchor chain. He might think its maintenance, but I'm seeing a clusterfuck.

I would join the United States Navy back in the 1940's-50's, but I think that the Navy got a little soft... That's why I'm going to be like my ole dad and become a Marine that way I can still live the lifestyle of a sailor just I'm trained better and more badass...

As a long-time resident of New Jersey, I can tell you Bayonne isn't exaclty a "glamour spot", either

@4threconmarine You must mean WHEN you flunk out of BUDS. Make sure you have Sub Vol in your pocket before you PT for BUDS or you could be Deck Div'n your entire enlistment. Love to the Trident from a bubblehead. BZ for all you do!

I was in the Navy and my ship was in Guam of all places (Guam stands for Give Up And Masturbate) at the time when this aired. St. Pat's day, 1979 (Guam was one week behind the US in network broadcast. I must have had the duty... I saw it on TV in my division's lounge area. We just watched in awe with our jaws hanging open... "someone was telling it like it is!" When it ended, we all fell over laughing and woke up everyone trying to sleep for the 0400 watch. LOL!

Funny. They should title this:"This is your future if you flunk out of BUDS," and show it to all the little kiddies that want to be SEALS.

Dan Aykroyd must have been the writer of this one (he's the narrator). Brilliant. Eric Idle even once said in an interview it would have been great if Dan Aykroyd had been in Monty Python.
