A recreation of an 'opt-out' ITV Schools junction on Tyne Tees Television on Monday 25 March 1985, the final week of the Spring Term.
The slides that term were all stained-glass windows, possibly the work of the artist Edward Burne-Jones. This is the slide used during the final week.
The music comes from that term's interval tape, but Tyne Tees often played the first tracks on the tape, which were rarely heard in a networked junction. Here we have Teatime, Bow Wow, Reggae Tops and Clockwise, all by Johnny Patrick. Tyne Tees rejoin the network at the start of the clock - note the 'sync jump'!
The programme finishing is The English Programme, followed by a seasonal episode of Seeing and Doing, with Toni and Dave Arthur in fine form. This clip is an accurate recreation of what Tyne Tees viewers saw at 10.57-11.02 on Monday 25 March 1985, except that the closing titles of The English Programme come from a different episode.
Many thanks to 'delicado' for the music tracks.
