Musician and song writer Glenn Marais wrote this song in a church in Aurora, Ontario after hearing David Kariuki and Janine Maxwell share about the life of street children in Africa. The song was recorded and video made in July 2009 in Swaziland.

yes my heart too is in africa i use to preach to my stuffed animals when i was a little girl i've always known about God and have always had a heart for him and i've always know that someday i would do something with the missionary work but i didn't know just what or were and when i got older my heart was far from God but still tender tawrd him it was in my early 20's i found salavtion in Jesus now i know the place that God has for me and one day i will get there to my sweet home in africa!
