Well My Idea Was That She Never DIed But Had Been Planning With The Cops All This Time To Fix Joan For Good And Rita Was Sent TO Wentworth On Purpose To Do So.

Bea had nothing to do with it and that clip of her was from the early days when she'd escaped by accident, a car accident on her transfer back from Barnhurst when she still thought she was Mrs. Goodie two shoes. They picked her up, brought her back to WW and she still had the amnesia so was smiling. It made no sense at all that alt ending.

Would of been a great twist, as much as I ahted Ferguson for some of the things shed did she was a great character, even felt a bit sorry for her

@SharnsiR no that wasnt from when she escaped i was episode 3 when she was let out and killed her husband she was smiling because franky was there and it was a "haha im back" sorta smile watch ep 3

Haha love it, maybe Bea had just faked her death at Barnhurst but had really escaped at the time and had just been caught again here and was being sent back in ready for another stint as top dog.

They could have carried it on by the driver of the police car taking Joan away having a heart attack at the wheel just yards after leaving the Wentworth gates. They would have had no choice but to take her back inside...

@MisterShaq7427 My idea for the end was the 692 episode by the penultimate, then have the 693 last one where Joan is dropped of the charges, and when she arrives home is greeted by past inmates. The form of revenge they take on her could be open to interpretation. That would be the ending.

I love this i even thought that bea would appear as a twist when originally aired. It was ashame because magge and val played off of each other so well.

Oh yes of course you're right. I realise now that I've gone back and watched the first 20ish eps (specifically to see Franky again... her ending was one of my all time favorite classic scenes but I dearly wish it had come later, after she had a much longer innings).
