Part 2- I am a total novice. I had no idea how to even go about thinking of repairing my G5 until I went to the Apple store and they told me it'd be about $650.00 dollars (estimate) just to see if it was a power supply problem and that was a risky guess because if it was, it wouldn't even guaranty the rest of the parts would function correctly (video card plus other things) - even coasting me more money. I thought "You gotta be kidding me, man!" They just wanted me to buy a new one -instead. So you know what? I got determined and figured out how to do it myself. Apple G5 computers are a good product, but unfortunately have an expiration date unbeknownst to all mac users because of faulty components - If purchased between the year 2005-2006.
