Avoid prefixing. Make your code readable. Don't assume people know what "btn" means or cbo, or lst, or txt. Write out your names to be descriptive and consistent.
Use Visual Studio as your guide. The Studio creates default names for your controls and spells them out. A button on a form may be a start button or run button. That is how we speak. So write it as "startButton" or "runButton" It is natural.
