The USD has been showing strength lately I think we can all agree with that. Meanwhile the British Pound has been not only weak but threatening to break a serious looking trendline level on the 4hour/daily charts. This combination of a strong greenback and weak Sterling naturally led us to pay close attention to the GBP/USD pair. While there were quite a few opportunities in every major session to technically get short this pairing today, a fresh short entry in the London session could have been a rather daunting task if not for the 'News Scalp' entry provided to us after weaker than expected Retail Sales data came out and broke the trendline. So in this video I talk not about the prior conservative entries, rather we delve into exactly how we 1) Setup the news scalp trade plan, 2) Zoom into Exactly what/why/where we actually pull the trigger short, 3) How/where/why we ultimately take profit. If you have ever had any questions as to how we 'Scalp' the news at FXBootcamp this video shows it in it's entirety, and finishes with a nice 60-100 pip or so trade depending on how one took profit.
