so you wouldn't recomend the antiquities for new tele guitars? i think ... the vintage rhythm sounds great too and its much cheaper. i got n pretty new tele ... so you think the STr-1 would fit better in there?!

In my opinion, the two pickups sound the same (Antiquity vs STR-1) Visually, it looks strange to have old looking pickups in a new looking guitar. The only reason the Antiquities are more expensive is due to the extra labor involved in aging the pickup. The tone is very close to being the same.
I once bought two sets of SD humbuckers; Antiquities and Seth Lovers. Both were identical in tone, except one looked older. I went with the Seths because my guitar was new and it looked better.

that tone is awsome, too. what do you say if you have to compare these vintage pickups and the antiquities?!
what about the price? the antiquities are quite expensive ...

If the guitar looks new, go with the Seymour Duncan Vintage Rhythm STR-1 neck and whatever you want for the bridge. If you want the same as the Antiquity bridge, go with the Vintage '54 STL-1 pickup or a little smoother APTL-3JD Jerry Donahue bridge pickup. I have the Quarter Pounder bridge only because I like a slightly darker "humbucker" like tone.
