"Red Hot & Blue Love" is taken from Rick Springfield's album, "Working Class Dog" from 1979 / 1981.....& in my opinion, one of his best.
I actually bought the Working Class Dog album in late 1979 & without any label support, Rick was about to get dropped by the label when they decided to re-release the Working Class Dog album in early 1981 & the rest is history.....
If you look on the spine on the Working Class Dog album you'll see the date 1979 , but, on the back cover it'll say, 1981....
Not alot of people knew Working Class Dog album was released in 1979 or bought it in 1979.....

love the blues feel to this song.. the heavy base gitar.. i was only 7 when i bought this album.. on vinyl. i sat on my beanbag for hours and played this album over and over.. I love Rick Springfield..
