Please try and understand that Michael did not bleach his skin or was ashamed to be black or any of that media/tabloid BS; he had a skin pigmentation condition by the name of Vitiligo - research on the internet can soon be found and I would ask haters and trolls to please try and read; to investigate before judging? Thank you!

I'm so glad that this is on youtube it gives so much insight to people who are so ignorant to what people with vitliligo have to go through and help them understand that people don't chose to do this to themselves and that it doesn't make them any different just because of their skin colour. I don't even know why there are any dislikes for this video :/

@Pastorius333 conspiracies of "his skin got lighter evenly!" you idiot.

@Pastorius333 are you fucking retarded? He had vitiligo. As it got worse, he put on make up in the white patches. As it got even worse, he just got a lighter shade of make up to blend with his lightening skin. Eventually, he did use whitening cream and he did bleach his skin (which is understandable. Michael is EXTREMELY shy, and having those white spots would just kill him) to fasten the process. But, he IS proud to be a black American, he's stated many time. So stop with your stupid conspirac

This is such a weird condition. Then again, is it weirder than being born with 6 fingers? I don't know. It is just interesting.

@abdi1983 MJ has stated plenty of times that he proud the be black so your comment was pure ignorance.... If you need some videos to prove it too you please tell Ill be happy to send you some links :)

Paler skin has to do with living away from the equator and having less exposure to ultravoilet rays. There really is no true "baseline" for humans because we adapt to our environments. People that live closer to the equator have darker skin, people that further have lighter skin. There are a few exceptions to this rule based on a populations diet.
This whole "baseline" is absolutely fictitious and ignorant. Don't attempt to understand the world by using religious bias text.

atleast this guy is proud to be black unlike MJ
@ATasteofTravesty
Diet has nothing to do with the indigenous people near the North Pole having darker skin that the typical European. Sun rays will only tan or burn you, not make you black. See the findings of Dr. Stephen Oppenheimer. Also, see the video, THE ORIGINS OF WHITE PEOPLE. Contemporary science and the ancient writings together provides the facts.

Its funny how they changed the name to vitiligo instead of leprosy so people couldn't relate it to the Bible. If folks do relate it to the bible then they will realize that when people were cursed with leprosy in the bible, it was black people turning white. So understanding this, if people go back and read the history of Moses in the Bible when his hand was turned to leprosy, they will see that he is black. How can a white person be cursed with leprosy if he is already white????? hmmmm?

@MaAhKaAhLa
Also, be aware that there were variations. Leprosy is when the skin also rots. However, there was a variation where the skin became white but there were no sores. Read Leviticus 13.

I'm lmfao here.
Read the description. The person has no idea what they're talking about. Vitiligo is when patches of the skin have NO pigment in them AT ALL. White people, with the exception of albinos, have some pigment in their skin. Vitiligo didn't bring white people into existance.
In addition to that, vitiligo isn't really genetic. It's thought that the chances of a couple with vitiligo having a baby with vitiligo is about 2%.
Yay for lies.
