Akuma 101: The Demon (part 2)

The final of two parts in my Raging Demon tutorial for Akuma/Gouki in Street Fighter IV. I use the help of picture-in-picture arcade stick footage, slow motion, and my own soothing voice to bring you the information you need to know about this Ultra/Super combo. This second part includes: Anti-Air Demons (buffers), Reversal Demons (plinks), Shenanigans (kara, palm strike, s.HK), and what you SHOULDN'T do.

hey this might be a stupid question but anywho, how do u fadc after srk without throwing the FA punch? ive read that its, srk, medium punch/kck, dash forward but everytime i try to do that akuma still throws the punch.

@TubeKnow Hold focus, dash, then release focus. Practice this timing, if you release the buttons before you dash, you will get the focus attack itself.

does crouching forward demon still hit if the opponent mashes out dragon punch after the jump in kick?

@wasd88 Still works, they have landing recovery so there can be no dp mashing if you low forward demon at the proper space.

i always thought u couldnt plink lp? i use the reversal method all the time, but why does it give u two lp???.. just curious

@saif03paul the best way is to keep your opponent in akumas vortex for as long as possible :) try mixups and what not just to keep them guessing.

i luv akuma but he is sooooo easy to get koed... any tips how i can get alot better
