International Education Week (14th-18th November) is a very good opportunity for the exchange students to tell people about their country and little bit about their exchange year.

International Education Week- My Country.
The Power Point presentation I've made took me 7 days.

When, Where, Why (WWW): -
I presented a Power Point presentation in front of my 7th Hour Class that is Speech in Andover High School, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan at 1:10 pm on 15th November 2011 The presentation took almost 45 minutes covering every aspect of my beautiful country "Pakistan". I chose my Speech Class because my speech class has bunch of different kinds of students which means they are from different culture and my ultimate motive is to tell the WORLD about Pakistan rather than just telling Americans about Pakistan. The most interesting thing is that I wore YFU t-shirt to tell everyone that I am from an organization named YFU (Youth for Understanding)

Description of the Power Point presentation: -
Firstly, I told them about what actually this International Education Week is?. , I showed them a video made by my own self which is going to show them the 4 cultures of Pakistan. That video is very intersting with Pakistan National Anthem. I told them about our Native Language and demonstrated some important greetings in front of them. Like for example; Hello, My name is Alyshan and I am from Pakistan. Now the most important thing of my presentation needs to be discussed and that is Islam. I have made a specific video for that with a lot of explanation tittled "ISLAM- Not Every Muslim Is Terrorist". This title has got so much to say itself but then also i felt the importance of writing a paragraph on this and tell people that Islam is a religion of peace and that paragraph is writen on my power point slide. I explained that paragraph to the students. My second last slide has a title named: - "My exchange experience can benefit my own country" and there is a hyperlink on this title which showed people "a 15 minutes video" and that video has some intersting facts about Pakistan which they don't know but I want them to know all these facts as the first question one student asked me on my first school day was: - "Hey, Is Pakistan a country?" That question still disturbs me. They even don't know that Soccer balls are made in Sialkot(One of the most important cities in Pakistan). That video discussed: -

1)Pakistani Dance
2)Pakistani Food
3)Pakistan Culture
4)Intersting Facts about Pakistan
5)Mountains and valleys

I distributed some YFU documents to people that can benefit YFU with host families, host students and can beneift THE WORLD that is the purpose of my life. I got a positive reply from them.
