  • Plane is AMD... Fan is Dynamax Fan...Egine is OS 91 Ducted Fan.

  • Hello Alex,

    which pipe/silencer do you use??

  • Is Hatori 435mm Muffler Tuned Pipe..

  • Alex, you meant to say that there is such thing as OS91 specifically used only with ducted fan? can the normal OS 91 engine like the one on my heli be used with a ducted fan? Do you all fly both on Saturday and Sunday? where exactly do you fly in Baram. How many flyers there? I actually like to watch people fly beside flying and I do go to Miri sometime and I am thinking aloud to go there and watch you all fly!!

  • Hi Kolonelz, the Os91 Ducted fan engine is rear exhaust port and is runing 24000rpm n totaly different with the Heli 91 engine.. yes we only fly on sunday.. is fr miri town to the flying site take half hour drive..is industrial area not yet fully used.. if you come to Miri pls. contact me.

  • @Lozzie74 just a little fyi, when you step up into a 300mm DF unit. you're not taking little steps anymore. there is some serious power in these things. when we were doing bench testing on it. it sucked up a socket wrench from about 4 ft. across the table. at 3/4 power, you can feel the suction from at least 6ft. away, and anything less than aluminum ducting from inlet to exhaust will FAIL, PERIOD.

  • @Lozzie74 no i don't... sorry brother. though i do have the resources to build these units. i don't have the time to develop them into a product people could afford. the aluminum block, milling, balancing, polishing. it is a labor intensive process. far beyond the old mold and go that most of the smaller units can be made of. however, i know i've heard of a few making 200mm units for the open market.

  • @governmentcheese411 300mm EDF? Do you market this item? Biggest DF I've ever seen is 127mm.

  • @Flyingwelder I have this plane. CG is set 130mm (~5") back from leading edge at root.

  • Looked to be very lean before taking off, I would re-set that needle to keep it just slightly rich, it will lean out as fuel tanks empty.

I had the century jets hawk very similar with same fan/OS91, fun model to fly.

  • omg...really nice looking bird brother, but gas powered, lame :( go electric and feel the freedom and power. my 300mm edf unit pushes out a massive 45lbs of thrust. i'm pushing it with a 96 volt 16 cell battery set up through a 300 amp esc. most real turbines can't out perform against it. simply to much power to weight. she only weighs about 40lbs and with the twin set up i'm running totals 90lbs of static thrust. happy flying...

  • Hi Alex. I have the red/white/blue version of this plane and I was wondering where you set your CG. I am using an OS 77 with a dynamax fan for power. What do you think?

  • Hello I just bought this plane and I´m building it with the same configuration as yours (but with JMP pipe).

    How much does it weigh?

I plan to fly it in a 200ft runway...do you think it will make it?

  • Thank you for the reply!!
