Well, I'm also one of those late 40 years old fan of It Bites, proud owner of many original albums. And I'm happy to see John Mitchell in this band now!! Sad but true, Dunnery left. So we either forget this band or enojy it with one of a handful of guitarist able to fit into this band, as if he would have been there from the very first minute. Simply SENSATIONAL!!

@teamcuba2000 Of course you are entitled to your opinion, but I'm one of those 40 year olds who has fond memories of Dunnery era IB. The Tall ships is a fantastic album and the band has lost nothing of its musical identity. If anything the songwriting is stronger now than ever before!

@teamcuba2000 well I think this is just as good as the original . . . I've met JM and he is a legend and is more than capable of replacing Dunnery! Second alanrockunited "you are an idiot"

I consider that both lineups have their merits. In defence of the current lineup, it's a bit unfair to judge them on one album, although personally speaking, I think the "Tall Ships" was excellent. Also, John Mitchell is a fine guitar player and brings a freshness to the material!

I think maybe you weren't around in the early days matey and you've got confused in your fanboy worshipping! You can never make anything better than an original lineup, real music doesn't work that way ! :-/
fuck knows how people will like this... ORIGINAL LINE UP... OTHERWISE JUST LOSERS TRYING TO GET ON! SORT YOUR DIFFERENCES OUT, RE GROUP, THEN YOU WILL FIND A MILLION 40 PLUS YEAR OLDS TO BUY YOUR MUSIC... OR YOU COULD CARRY ON DOWN THIS DEAD END...

@teamcuba2000 You are an idiot. The "new" It Bites is as goog as the old, with the Tall Ships album even better than "once Around The World". Dunnery went off to become a hippy, and couldn't make this sort of music nowadays even if he wanted to, so John Mitchell stepped up and has done a brilliant job.

@ellensboy4 They were late onstage (no fault of theirs) and had to soundcheck during "Calling...". To be honest, they had the best sound of the day.
