@thurmaw ON SS, I'm NOT stupid? Welfare my ass. Carters economy was total shit, and there were mistakes made to SS. Clinton reduced the deficit to ZERO. Reagan was the deficit slob. Debt went from $700 billion to $3 trillion. SS has drawn a surplus every year since Reagan jacked it up crying about Baby-Boomers. In 08 it was 180 billion surplus. Those Govt. pricks have stolen over 2 1/2 trillion. They're filling the net with lies to. How could less people be paying into SS in 2008 than 1960?

I'm talking about legislation to stop fraud and abuse of tax-payer dollars, and holding war-profiteers accountable with jail time and fines. All 58 Republican in the senate voted to continue robbing taxpayers, and to let the war-profiteers profit. 50 Dems voted to pass the legislation. @thurmaw How did the Dems have enough votes in the senate, where it matters, with a 50-50 count? The Dems can't pass shit now since Brown took their filibuster proof majority. And I know it says the Dems had a 51 - 49 majority in the senate, but Lieberman is not an ind. that sides with Dems. The Repubs got him reelected in 06. He fucked the Dems on a deal he cut to keep his Homeland Security position in return for his vote on important legislation. Then he voted for McCain.

@thurmaw And I'm not making shit up. One thing I don't do is lie. Do a Google internet search and put this in (Dems, Republicans spar over oil speculation bill - CNN) and read the whole thing. The Republicans tried to hold the legislation hostage for offshore drilling. It would've taken years to lower gas prices that way, but the Republicans didn't care. Stopping the speculators would've worked immediately. And the Republicans knew the oil Co's already held leases to 68,000 acres for drilling.

The auto industry wouldn't have went through any of this if the corrupt ass Bush gang didn't have their Wall Street speculators drive oil prices to 147 a barrel so they could gain access to protected areas for drilling before they left office. American made cars turned into the friggin plague after that. Pelosi even tried to pass a bill to stop the speculators in 2008, and every stinking Republican voted against it. Just like they voted for the war-profiteers.
