Bowfishing near Grand Isle, Louisiana. This is a pretty good video of a sheepshead (also known as bay snapper) being killed with a bow and arrow. Mostly we shoot Redfish....but I didn't have my camera rolling for any of those.

  • u sure thats a sheepshead???

  • I am 100 percent sure. I know it gets dark when the fish gets on the boat, but definitely a sheepshead.

  • Nice video!! Looks like Leeville, are you with Marsh Masters?

  • You have a good eye.....it is Leeville and I was with marsh Masters. We usually go a few times a year. We get our limit (in reds) every time.

  • hey, nice shot! i went out to crystal river, fl last weekend and stuck a bunch of sheepshead and black drum. pretty good stuff

  • yea, bowfishing has the same regulations as fishing with a pole. When your bowfishing refish you gotta have the dicipline to pass on questionable fish

  • Does the 16" rule apply to Redfish while bowfishing? If so do you just eyeball them and shoot for the biggest ones? Please advise I'm in La, and hope to bowfish for Reds around the rigolets, lake catherine area.

  • Its a fresh water sheephead, its alot different from the saltwater one!
