@TimeForBold I'll keep your considerations in mind as I listen to Yeah Ghost for the first time. Thank you, TimeForBold! I appreciate your conversation.

@connoraveale I get what you mean man, with Zero 7 I'm the opposite with what I've listened to, Yeah Ghost being the only one I've listened to and huge depth...
Like I said ghost sYmbol I like, "pop art blue" has some pretty corny folk vocals but I still kinda like it but tracks like "medicine man" are whilst not outright unenjoyable, are kinda brought down by corny cliche lyrical work...

@TimeForBold I'm glad someone understands my complaints! This is the first time I've talked to anyone who understands music as I do (not trying to be pretentious, just saying everybody listens differently). How do you feel about Yeah Ghost? I want to try it out but it seems radically different from Simple Things and When it Falls (my only two Z7 albums).

@connoraveale I totally agree, especially with the example, many of the vocalists Zero 7 have employed do really embarrassing second rate work, their production on the other hand is really well done and when the couple it with a simple hook like on "ghost sYmbol" it really brings out their best...

@TimeForBold That's something I struggle with too with a lot of music. Some of the most beautifully produced and composed music is plagued with a lack of creative lyricism. For instance, recently I've loved the hell out of Zero 7's "Somersault" (the chorus is fantastic!) but after viewing its lyrics I can't help but feel slightly embarrassed to listen to it.

Production is brilliant, the composition especially the tempo shift is also great.
His singing tone is good but his lyrics, ugggghh.
"We only have one rule, don't stay the same our you'll be a fool"
I really wish he abstracted his words more, none the less a great track...

past the first 48 seconds , this song scares me shitless

Wonderful work with rhythmic changes and a very angular, interesting melody. Incrdible editing too. Thumbs up!

No word, just total prefection...
IF this track was premeditated by Tim, then you can completely hear is influence from his Philosophical Degree background. There are hints of nonduality, the now, form within formlessness. If this was premeditated ...I will say this track is absolutely pure genius!!!! If not ....then its just a bunch of happy accidents???
What a F%#!ING brilliant production!!!!! Genuis in a madman sense!!!!
