Clip from September 22, 2001, The Rachel Maddow Show, where Rachel highlights the hypocrisy/nonsense of the Republican claim that just let the very rich (e.g., the Koch Brothers) keep a little more of their post-business-expenses personal income and they'll create jobs (even though they've been sitting on record profits / cash for a couple of years and have cut American jobs, not created them).

  • Someone PLEASE get the FACT out there that CREATING JOBS CUTS PROFITS and they are not going to do anything that cuts profits.

  • @weslenforever, Yup, file it under "productivity."

  • If you are poor, old, gay, belong to a union (a teacher, civil servant, police, or fireman); if you want to protect the environment, are sick without health insurance, are a student, trying to pay your tuition, are Islamic, Mormon, black, Hispanic, or Oriental--the Republican Party is your enemy. The Republican Party is un-American. It is an alien that has infiltrated our body and is killing this great nation from the inside with a narrow minded, pro-corporate deluge of hate.

Well, I have nothing against decency and love, certainly, but I'm just saying that for all the good it's done us up to now, we'd all be better off practicing love and decency without god or religion of any kind.

  • @jerico641 yeah by rational christians I meant christians who actually follow the ideas of the bible, they would be enemies of the republican party. I guess i misspoke. The christians who are all about "the rich get richer" republicans seemingly forget that jesus was all about social welfare and would most likely have been a democrat.

  • @SecretName25

Well, I'm willing to concede that I've met some christians who seem perfectly rational, but in my opinion, with regard to one aspect of their lives, they're delusional, pure and simple. There is no evidence whatsoever to support the belief in a god or gods. And even the ones I call "casual christians" (those who don't visit the Creation Museum in Kentucky or advocate teaching creation in high school biology), are still holding us back in this world. Sorry to be blunt.

  • Now I'm more confused :S

  • @jerico641 or rational Christians let's not forget them.

  • Small to medium companies are the proven real job creators.

Don't believe the Cons who are the party of the rich for the rich.

  • @Jack194343

Don't forget atheists; they hate us too.
