A 2D side-scrolling platform game, written in Handel-C for the Altera Cyclone II DE2 FPGA board. In other words this was implemented in hardware, instead of software.
For clarification, the score is also the time limit and the character's health. The score depletes continuously over time, and a huge penalty is incurred each time spikes are touched. It is Game Over when the score reaches zero.
We gave it the affectionate name of "FPGA Platform Game of Awesomeness", since it makes a nice acronym ;)
This was an Imperial College 1st year ISE project, written by David Hoyes and Robert Welin.
