He was badass until Advent Children. Apparently they thought it was good idea to ignore the original game's character art, and reinvent everyone as flawless looking and 20 years younger than what they should look. Same goes for Barret.
RIP coolness. Apparently good graphics = make everyone pretty and ignore realism.

Cid was the badassery of a real man rolled up into the elite warrior status of his namesake. Cid Highwind is the man, but always gets pushed aside for other characters like Vincent. Cid was a monster in-game, one of the best fighters, and probably the best of the secondary characters in terms of his personality. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go drink my goddamn tear.

Whilst Aerith's theme makes me cry emotional tears of emotion, this song makes me cry MAN TEARS OF AWESOME.
