The sex pistols and most of the Punk rock groups in the UK were politically and socially charged and their music and clothing style was a protest against the static establishment and expectations people wanted their teens and young adults to be plus many people were out of work or very poor and their government didn't care or did it the wrong way. the beginning of UK punk was close to the Thatcher Era and against the standing guy . oh trust me.
i've cried plenty of times over joey, and the fact that he's gone and shouldn't be.
it's all way too sad...and the fact that he's been such a big influence on everything that i hold dear today.
he was 49 when he died..
that in my opinion is way too young.
and in reality, he, johnny and dee dee, are "too tough to die."
there are generations of ramones fans to come.
we keep them alive..spiritually.
the body is gone, but the spirit still remains.
