@abm92296 If i'm understanding you, do you mean that putting the 2 ports (in and out) in their supposed slot, not working for you? If so, try putting IN into OUT port and OUT into IN, i had that problem and when i did that it worked for me.

I have my MIDI hooked up with a USB to MIDI interface. On my keyboard (which by the way is a Casio WK-1630), do I need to hook up both in and out ports? Currently I only have the out port hooked up after I found that both at the same time was a no-go. Also, when I go on FL Studio 10 (Producers Edition; possibly the cause?) it recognizes my USB and everything is enabled correctly on the MIDI settings. The port matchups are also at the dashes. But, when I go to type a key, nothing happens.plz help

Can you also connect the keyboard though the mic input on your soundcard, because my 5.1 soundcard doesn't have a midi input and if i connect it over usb there's a delay between key-press and the tone coming from your speakers.
