TV9 - "DR VEERENDRA HEGGADE" CONFIRMS "BSY & HDK" CALLS OFF "TRUTH TEST" AT DHARMASTALA............!


In a statement, Shri Kshetra Dharmasathala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade has wished that both CM Yeddyurappa and former CM Kumaraswamy come to the Kshetra just as any other ordinary devotees and assured that arrangements would be made for them just as for any visitors.

He assured of his presence on the occasion while facilitating the oath ceremony. He also said that everyone was equal in the presence of Lord Manjunatha.

Dr Heggade further made it clear that there was still no official information about their visit from either side, which came as a surprise given the wide media publicity.

Tradition requires that, before the oath, both persons bathe in river Netravati, put a token amount of Rs 11 in the alms box. Then both persons are expected to declare that they are saying the truth and should there be any element of untruth, appropriate punishment befall the person saying so.

He also expressed the hope that persons testifying at the Kshetra exercise caution while making a declaration. He has clarified that he would only be a witness on the occasion and would not appraise who was right or who was wrong.

Dr Heggade further said that when no other redressal or recourse to any problem was on hand, it was customary for devotees to take shelter at Dharmasthala. Any breach of truth at the Kshetra would result in adverse effects, according to tradition and belief here, said he.
